1050 aluminium plate
1050 aluminium plate belongs to commercially pure wrought family with a purity of 99.5% Aluminium. Except Al, 0.4% of Fe is added to 1050 aluminium plate, thus, it has high electrical conductivity. 1000 series aluminium group offers the best correction resistance compared to any alloy group, so does the 1050 aluminium plate.
Aluminium alloy 1050 is a popular grade of aluminium for general plate metal work where moderate strength is required.Aluminium alloy 1050 is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, high ductility and highly reflective finish.
When welding 1050 to itself or an alloy from the same subgroup the recommended filler wire is 1100. For welding to alloys 5083 and 5086 or alloys from the 7XXX series, the recommend wire is 5356. For other alloys use 4043 filler wire.
For its content above in the chart, 1050 aluminium plate has high ductility and high reflective finish. Besides, 1050 aluminium plate is non-heat treatment series is produced in extruded sections. It has excellent cold workability, braze-ability and solder-ability, and it is strengthened by cold working. However, 1050 aluminium plate has low mechanical strength compared to more significantly alloyed metals. All of these characteristics make 1050 aluminium plate well suited to chemical and electrolytic brightening but not in casting. Last but not least, moderate strength and good anodizing quality enables our products has a vast application.
Aluminium Alloy 1050 (1050 A) is available in Plate, plate, Strip, Bar, Wire, Drawn Tube, Welding Wire, Forging Stock and Rivet Stock.
